Quick question about USB

I know that USB 2.0 ports can also access USB 1.1 devices, but can a USB 1.1 port access USB 2.0 devices (granted they would transfer at the 1.1 rate)?

I'm looking at a jump drive (thumb drive, pen drive, disk on key, USB flash drive, whatever), and I need to know as my PC at work has USB 1.1, where mine at home is 2.0. I'd hate to buy a 2.0 and not be able to use it at work, where I need it.

TIA

USB devices will work in all USB ports. The device will run at the slowest speed of either the device or the port.

I thought that's what I remembered. That's what I needed to hear - thanks for the quick reply.
