Quick question about dvi cable quility

I have two of the same DVI cables and for some reason, I feel like one makes the screen
slightly brighter compared to the other one. I know that faulty cables are related to noise
level but is what I think Im seeing possible or am I imagining it?
 
Hmmm I would say you are probably imagining it. I would guess that with DVI being digital there would be some pretty obvious problems with picture or no picture at all if the cable was faulty.
