I have a DD CPS-MAG pump, does it matter what position it's in for it to work properly?
 
it will rattle like crazy (and by that i mean "a lot more than normal") unless you place the outlet at the top and the inlet on the side. but from my experience, it will operate normally in any position. its up to you to decide how loud you want it to be.
