ok I get the basic the more you fold the more points you get. But last night I started running 2 clients instead of 1 on a few of my machines and my points went from like 3000p 50w to what it is now over night but somehow I have a Red Down arrow? I would like an explanation of the arrow system or a link to an explanation would work just as good.

Also running 2 clients on my e6** boxes really boosted my folding.

The arrow represents how many positions up or down in team rank you moved since the last update.

Yup. Get used to it. In the early days it is frequent that you will move up many positions when you turn in a WU but then in the off hours between submissions you will get passed by one or two people. It is a count of your rank in the [H]orde based on total points.

The large uprise in new folders and took me down a notch....literally 1 notch.

Thats what I thought the arrow was for but considering I almost doubled my score I wasn't expecting a down arrow. but I guess I didn't double my score since last update it was since yesterday.

The only way to to never move down a notch is to have more "D" than anyone below you. I did this.... the Sunin joined.... I have the tire marks still on the back of my head.

After that unpleasantness ;) I am again king of my domain..... unless one of you upstarts want to challenge me :D

(I get a -1 once in a while when I have an update that I didn't turn in a WU.... those are rare though.)

It’s nice to know the value of what you are folding and that can be found here:

This is updated often but not often enough.

As said above, get used to passing and being passed. Always keep in mind we have our own language here at the [H] and one term you will see often is “D”. Long story but out of a multiple choice question from years ago the one question was add more hardware and that was question “D”. So, long story short your contributions no matter how big or small are always welcome and all folders at every level get equal respect (except Smokrngs ;)) if you don’t like being passed the answer is more “D”.

Enjoy and luck;):D

17000 ppd vs 500 ppd.......I think I'll pass on the challenge......FOR NOW.

As BillR said you gots to get used to passing people and being passed. :)

Some of the more interesting posts I've read concerning being run over (passed) was when, I think, Celerator said it just means there's one less person on your threat list and, I can't remember who it was to my sadness, said being run over is bad, but running over the person that previously ran over you is great :D.

Fold on everybody, whether you are a passer or a passe' (SP) :p

In the 7 weeks I've been at this, I've never once actually had anyone on my threat list. I've always had someone on my attack list, but I kinda wish we could filter those on our attack list to those that are actually active. Usually by the time I check out who is on my attack list, I will have already passed them. I know of one further up the food chain that I've been trying to chase, but until I can get my other boxen, he's just a few hundred points a day greater in his PpD.
