OK, later today I plan to fire back up my rack, starting with the i7 first

Now, I've got an i7 at 3.8 (190x20) and it used to get 24k on big adv units, what would I be looking at if I did winsmp instead? What would I get from A3's?

I'm asking because all the hoopla about bigadv right now and those dreaded units that keep crashing

Good luck getting a -bigadv.

14-17k ppd on normal SMP with that rig if memory serevs.

Might as well just run winsmp. 4 out of my 5 bigadv machines are running regular A3s now, including a VM on my one Windows machine. The only one that has a bigadv unit (an A3) got it a couple days ago. Apparently, they are completely out of bigadv units at the moment.

Native Linux I7 at 3.8 - right at 19K ppd on the bigadv 2684 and a regular 6023. If you get a 6701, you will be down to around 12K ppd. 3.78 GHz I7 running slower memory (around 1100) is getting 15K on a 6041.

Exactly. I haven't received -bigadv WUs on my clients since Sunday afternoon. This marks the longest dry spell I have seen to date and I started processing them back in October.
