Quick pc case advice

Im going to build a SUPER cheap computer. My goal is to build an entire working compute for under $150 just to see if it can be done. I'm basically aiming to build a internet and office machine that would be relatively responsive to the person using it etc.


I plan on installing freebsd with one of those ASrock motherboards and a 1.8 ghz athlon/duron etc.


after its built i will most likely use it as a simple server to host my screenshots and stuff.


But basically, do any of you think the psu on thisthing will explode on me after too long ?

The power supply might explode and possibly kill other components, but with your pricerange you cant get much better.

Might melt..that looks like a pretty cheap case (Just kidding! Not really). I suggest extra fans and a blow hole.

My suggestion is :

Buy one of those cheap cases from EBUYER that are ~15 shipped.
And buy a GOOD psu..
such as this one

I'm sure you can find something just as good, for less.

Some people here like fortron's, others think sparkle's are good. I disagree with them, and I buy ONLY enermax, antec, or PCP&C powersupplies [enermax being my daily purchase]

so buy a cheap ass case and get a really good powersupply seperate ? I need an entire casing solution psu + enclosure for like $40 this machine has to be ungodly cheap. Let me see if i can work this out.

150bugs is a pretty low budget though...
