Can you leak test with the system put together, but no power supplied to anything but the water pump? So the only power sources are the PSU, which is only going to the water pump, and the CMOS battery on the mobo. Could i even take the battery out?

You can do that. But make sure the ATX plug is off the mobo. I probably wouldn't worry about the CMOS battery, but if it makes you feel better... Now if it DOES leak, your going to have to make sure the mobo is dry before you plug it in, and if your using a coolant additive like antifreeze, you would likely have to flush out all effected areas with alcohol as antifreeze is an oily substance and will not evaporate.
