i currently have an LG 2353V, with 2 more coming in the mail today. (of course, I can always just return them).

Having done some looking around, I see that the samsung 2343wbx's have thin bezels which would be nice for this setup.

the LG:

the samsung:

what it boils down to:
the LG has a 2ms response time as opposed to 5ms for the samsung.

the samsung has thinner bezels but im not sure how the higher (and less common?) resolution of 2048 x 1152 may impact performance on my single 5870.

any help guys!?!

Don't have an eyefinity setup, but isn't the resolution set, therefor your oddball resolution is gonna be scaled to fit, not really offering any advantage, if anything making it worse either in response time or quality?

i should clarify: either 3xLGs or 3x Samsungs. this way the resolution is uniform across all three screens

my advice would be to go for the samsungs. too bad they dont make matte bezels though i cant stand shiny bezels. the lgs i have seen in the last few years are ok at best. the other thing you may want to know about is the warranty policies of the 2 companies. you wont care unless something goes wrong, but if they do, youll be better off with samsung. lg's policy is to send you a refurbed model of equal or better value. and they base the value on the date stamp not the features....so you never know what youll get. samsungs policy is to repair your screen or replace it. so you know that youll get back what you send in. i went through 4 months of crap with lg sending me back dead monitors, scratched bezels, wrong necks and even the wrong size monitor.
ranting asside, the samsung's smaller bezel should look alot nicer as a set. and please post pics whewn you get it all setup.... im debating whether or not to try this or upgrade my tv.

Ignore manufacturer quoted response time specs when comparing those two. They can dial up the overdrive to produce very low numbers without actually improving perceived blur. I would say both of those will be about equal in actual response time.
