I cant find any answers to this online: what is the horizontal slot above the screen on the iphone? There are 2 physical items on the screen total, this, and the home button. I figure its some sort of antenna item, but I have no idea.
 
LOL. Yes, that's the speaker you hold to your ear to hear your phone conversations.
 
lol! I though the speaker was at the bottom, integrated with the mic. MMMM thats good humble pie!

(ive had most conversations with headphones so far)
 
There are two little speakers on the bottom of the unit, but that's for speakerphone/ringtones/ipod music to be played on.
