Quick i7 920 temps question.

I am working on a new build right now, and just did a quick test of the PC to see if it will even boot.

Well I was able to get in to BIOS and did a quick temp check.

After about 5 min in BIOS I had about 45c on the CPU thats with 0 fans+ open case. Heatsink im using is "Prolimatech Mega Shadow Deluxe" almost identical to the "prolimatech Megahalems". P6T V2 Delux NOBO with i7 920.

The heatsink felt very hot to the touch and i just want to see if its normal temps or not b4 i continue with the assembly. (again that’s with 0 fans installed)

Those temps are normal, especially considering that it is with 0 fans. Run some stress tests after you finish the setup and see what the load temps are at that point.
 
With no fans (ie Silent Rig) that sounds normal. I just slapped in the new Thermalright Ultra 120 1366 today and this thing seems impressive. Idle is like 23-25c on the cores depending on ambient temp according to speedfan.
 
Those temps sound normal. Does that heatsink block any of your ram slots or how do you have it aligned? Post some pics once you've got it mounted.
 
My 920 idles about the same with a TRUE 120, but mine is also overclocked and I have several fans in my case.

Try using CoreTemp or RealTemp. I think you'll have to add 10*C to those temperatures.
