I am currently folding on one core of my E6600 @ 3GHz and using the other core to feed the GPU client running on my GTX 280. I have a question though. When i upgraded to the 280, i took out my 4 month old 8800GTS G92. Now, my motherboard (Asus P5B Deluxe) has two PCI-E x16 slots, however it doesn't support SLI (only Crossfire) and when Crossfire is enabled it drops the second slot down to 4x speeds.
How will this affect me if i stick the 8800GTS in there? Will it even work? My PSU is powerful enough so im not worried about that. How much data is traveling to the GPU?
