quick general question about my psu!!! Please help!

Will a PSU turn on if not attached to a case?

I took out my ultra win-400ps from my old system, and I can't seem to get it to work now when I plug up a power cord to it not installed in the case or hooked up to anything!!!



Does the case ground the psu when it is attached to it?

any input would help greatly....
 
nevermind, answered my own question, plugged it back in and it seemed that it has to be attached to the mobo, and also the power button/switch has to be plugged in to the mobo in order for it to turn on....
