Hey all,

Was wondering how to set up a shared calendars and/or to-do lists on my exchange server. Been searching for ages but cant find any info on it.

Is it possible? And does anyone have any guides?

Thanks

Part 1:

1. Fire up Outlook on the person sharing his/her calendar.
2. Click Tools -> Options -> Delegates tab.
3. Click Add and add the person that needs access.
4. Make necessary adjustments to delegation permission if necessary.

Optional: Uncheck Delegate receives copies of appointments. Recommended.

If the person will need to print the calendar, you will NOT want the "tasks" set to none. In this case, it doesn't matter since you want this shared.

5. Click OK twice to close everything.
6. Right-click on the person's Mailbox root folder... it says "Mailbox - Name Here"
7. Click Properties.
8. Click Permissions tab.
9. Click Add and add the person.
10. Give the person ONLY Folder Visible permission.
11. Click OK when done.

Part 2:

1. Fire up Outlook on the person that needs access.
2. Click Tools -> E-Mail Accounts.
3. Click Next.
4. Click Change.
5. Click More Settings.
6. Click Advanced.
7. Click Add and add the person that is sharing his/her calendar/to-do.
8. Click OK and Next a couple of times until it says Finished.
9. You'll see the mailbox appear on the left-side, along with the calendar.

Nope. If you want to access shared stuff remotely, I suggest you look into Outlook RPC over HTTP (requires Exchange 2k3).

BTW, there's a very good and detailed whitepaper on MS' Technet website.

Wouldn't the better way to setup a shared calender, is to use public folders? This way it could be accessed through OWA and requires less steps if shared among more people.
