Does THIS CPU include the stock cooler??
I can't find any details saying yes or no. But usually the retail version does as far as I know.

AMD Athlon II X2 250 Processor
ADX250OCGMBOX

a quick way to know is that if the model number includes BOX at the end then it's a BOXed processor and includes a stock cooler.

Yeah, that is what I thought. BUT, I looked at 3 or 4 sites profiling this CPU and none mentioned anything about a stock cooler.
I usually buy a bulk OEM processor when I do a build because they usually cheaper than the retail box.

Thanks!

There are 3 kinds of products:

Box
Tray
WOF

Box is also referred to as PIB (processor in a box).

On the client side I believe that box always includes a heatsink/fan, but you have to make sure that the SKU actually has "BOX" at the end. Boxed processors come with a 3 year warranty.

Tray is bulk product, typically sold to OEM, but sometimes sold through distribution. Tray has a 1 year warranty. Tray shoud be returned by the OEM or disti, not the end customer. I see tray products sold online and through retail, even though it really shouldn't.

WOF is boxed product WithOut Fan. This is a 3-year warranty boxed single processor, and typically only used on server SKUs.

Always trust the SKU number, not the picture. Just because it shows a box online doesn't mean the product will come with a heatsink/fan.
