Can a dremel cut .125" 5052 aluminum with those reinforced cutting blades?

I'm thinking about using a holesaw but lowes and home depot only stock 2.5 inchers so I would have to order the 3 and 4 inch ones and I need to mod NOW!!

yes, you can cut with a dremel, but it will look like ass without a lot of finish work.

and you should check your mega-hardware stores again, because they certainly do stock more than door-knob-drilling holesaws.

If you actually take your time (something most people around here can't comprehend) a dremmel will work fine on alu. It is rather soft and will cut nicely.

I only had to use 1 wheel on a mid-size steel case of mine, it should work like a hot knife through butter on aluminum.

Cool, thanks for the replies guys. I need to buy some more screws so I'll give home depot the once over again, and maybe ask a sales person for help. I hate doing that:)

The Home Depot where I live had one 3" holesaw, a Bosch, for $25 w/o the arbor when I went there a while back. Make sure you use a good corded drill. I learned the hard way that a 5 amp cordless craftsman drill craps out about 3/4 of the way through.
