I'm trying to put together a SUPER cheap system for a buddy that can still manage to do a few things...

I'm here looking at video card and I'm wondering which is a better way to go:

This Radeon 9250 for $42...

-or-​

This GeForce4 MX440 8x for $35...

Got any alternatives for under or very near $50, list em for me please!

This isn't under or near $50 but the cheapest video board you can get which does not suck is a 128 bit memory Radeon 9550 like this one. Cheaper $50 64 bit boards get crushed like bugs by a 128 bit Radeon 9550. It is absolutely worth the extra $15 to get a video board that's more than twice as capable.
