High Tech ATI RADEON 9800PRO Video Card, 128MB DDR, 256-bit
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-161-109&depa=0

true ati 128 mb ddr/ 256 bit

all are r350 core, is there going to be any difference in the cards. i want to go with the powercolor but i dont know if the brands make a difference, thanks...

go with the high tech. top notch cards imo. i had one exactly like that and it reached 450 core 385memory. very impressed i was. i believe guru3d.com has a review on it.

thanks for the reply.. i am just wondering if the powercolor with 256mb of ram will provide much better performance than the other too 128mb cards since they are all 256bit and around the same price...

any other replies are welcome

I dont believe the extra 128 MB of ram is really going to be put to use on a 9800 Pro.

the 256 may help sometimes, but at that point you might as well be getting a REAL good card.. aka x800pro / 6800GT..

You can get a 6800nu for about the same price as a 6600GT and the 6800nu is much better and gives you the chance to unlock the extra 4 pipes and o/c it a bit to reach 6800GT speeds.

My BBA is oc'd to 420/385 with this heatsink http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-108-022&depa=0 , it can go to 450/400 with a volt mod, i dont have any benchmark scores yet because im waiting for my new psu to come tuesday and my new p4 2.8 cpu on wednesday/thursday, the guy that had it before me got 7031 with the card in 3dmark 03 with a 3.0@3.4. Good card and good heatsink in my opinion :) i have some pics of the hs/f on my card and it looks like a monster :D
