Well I did this in around 45 minutes to take care of some storage issues I had. I wanted to have a few tools and spare parts on hand for when I go off to school, but I didnt want to bring a toolbox or anything like that. So I took an old CD-ROM drive, gutted it, put the shell back together, dyed the faceplate black to match my other drive, loaded it up with stuff and now it acts as a "stealth" storage bay. Check out the pic and tell me what you think.

Edit - the drive pulls out in about 2 seconds and I can take the face plate off easily.
 
I was thinking about doing that too, but I wanted to make alittle draw.

Ah sorry man, yeah I guess the pics are kinda small. Anyhow, not a whole lot to see but its basicly a gutted cd rom drive filled w/ screwdrivers and stuff. :p And the pic on the bottom is shows it installed under my other drive.

Ive seen drawers and stuff before, and I'll admit this is kind of a step backwards from that (I dont have a dremel so really modifiying it was kinda out of the question) as it isnt as easy to use, but it does have that "stealth" aspect to it so it might come in handy for hiding things... as well as general storage. ;)
 
Thats pretty cool, I'm use that case for my mod project...it's totally dismantled now waiting for some supplies. :D
