I just got my GA-p35-DSL3 rev2 Gigabyte mobo and Q6600.
I am going TDY for 5 days next week and I want to test my stuff before I go.
I currently only have an ANTEC Basiq 350, 4 gigs of ddr 800 (transcend Mem) a WD 200,
Samsung sata DVD burner, and a YES (8400GS) to use. Is a 350 psu able to handle this?
I will be installing a better PSU and 8800gt when I get back.

Yes. If it makes you feel better one of my friends is saving his money and has almost the same setup as you minus 2gb of ram and a different hard drive, but everything else is the same. He bought an OEM Antec 350w Basiq power supply of newegg for $20.00 to use for the time being and it runs perfectly fine. Just make sure you get a different power supply before you run the 8800gt.

For the time being, a 350W PSU will suffice...It might even power your 8800GT fine

Just remember to check the Amp on ur +12V rail for your PSU, it has a possibility of powering your system with the 8800GT without a new PSU
