i got my 3800+ to 2.6ghz but using a ram divider (DDR333).

My speeds are at FSB = 260 and ram is at 218mhz

Is my performance bad if i have it at a ram divider like that? or should i keep going on my OC. (6 hours prime stable, 52C max load.)
 
It's not going to really hurt your performance, but your ram might be able to handle that OC without a divider. Have you tried it?
 
for some reason i dont know why, it wouldnt boot over 230mhz on my ram. On my intel system, it booted at 275mhz
 
if thats the case, your chips memory controller probably cant handle more than the 230mhz @ whatevertimiingsyouhad. 218 is ddr436, which is still faster than stock ;)

and no, mem dividers on a64 will not cost you performance.
