quicj installation question (4870)

I havent built a computer in more than 5 years so im really out of the loop, just got my 4870 and im cluessess if I should use both 6 pin power connectors or can I just use one 6 pin power connector?
 
Not trying to be a smart ass or anything, I'm actually curious. Aren't there instructions with the card that the describe the installation process? Like I said, just a question. Thanks!

And yes, you need to connect both.
