1. Which is stronger, 1 120mm fan and a shroud on a heatercore, or 4 80mm fans, and which fan direction is more beneficial? pushing or pulling?

2. is it really worth it to watercool HDs? IE 2 Raid 0 Raptors

3. what would u guys recomend for a 120mm silent fan, im looking for cool, yet quiet...

the 4 80mm were going to be ZM-OP1s, 15mm height fans that are usually sold with Zalman's heatsink video card setup, and if 120mm is better, on sale goes the fans.
 
1) well, it depends what 120mm fan you get...i think 4 80mms will push more air, but a 120mm will be quieter...

2) equal push/pull if you can do 2/4 fans

3) my evercool is kinda loud, not much, but its okay

1. i would say the 4 x 80mm fans, but it would probably also be much noiser and not that much of a temp diff (a few degrees celcius i would think). this of course depends on what fans you are using also. if you were to use 4 x 80mm would you not use a shroud?
--afaik pulling is usually more efficient than pushing

2. i'm sure most people will say no, and i agree with them. a good amount of airflow going over your drives is sufficient IMO. not only that, but HDD blocks will really lower your flowrates.

3. i'm also looking for a good 120mm fan recomendation.. so far i've heard that a 5v/7v'ed evercool is a good choice, along with some papsts/panaflos @ low rpms/undervolted. i'd like to see some more info from people about some good 120mm fan configurations.
