I know you can run windows with vmware to maximize points. Can you set the affinity in vista to run 2 instances of f@h smp? (Smp1, Smp2) on a Q6600?
 
off hand, you can manually set the individual folding cores to the proper cpus....i'm not sure if the console works the same though. with standard client, setting the affinity of the console would set the affinity of the cores when a new WU started.....SMP may work this way too (set console to CPU 0/1 and CPU 2/3, may start cores on the right settings), but i'm not sure.....manually setting works fine though

as far as VMWare goes, it's similar...just set the VMWare to CPU 0/1 and CPU 2/3, and the clients inside the VMWare instance will just go with it

 
You can set the cores manually for a dual Client SMP set up but you need to redo it each time one of the clients starts a new protien.
Vista/XP treats the client and the cores as running under different accounts so the affinty is lost each time cores shut down as that account shuts down with the cores and restarts with the new cores.

The trouble with running two SMP clients under Windozes is shutting then both down.
Close one down and the other is likely to (50/50) crash trashing the work done so far on a protien.
