Ok so i Skimmed through the Eyefinity technology breif, and i had a couple of questions..

(this will be my build)

ASUS VH226H 22in Widescreen LCD Monitor x3
NZXT TEMPEST EVO Case
CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V
GIGABYTE GA-P55-UD4P LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz
XFX HD-577A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 x2
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ 500GB HD

1)Now how exactly would i plug my monitors into the video cards? would i just have 2 monitors on one GPU and the third on the next?

2)When playing a game, would the resolution option to view in all three monitors already exist in the game under display options, or would i have to activate something?

3)how well will these cards preform when using eyefinity?

1. no you would have 2 connected to the DVI ports and 1 connected to the display port.. so make sure those monitors work with display ports before you buy them..

2. most games it would exist.. they usually dont show up in the game unless the display resolution supports them.. some older games you might have to go in and change an ini file setting..

3. currently eyefinity is not supported in crossfire.. its only supported in crossfire with a single 5970.. AMD/ATI is working on trying to create profiles for it so that it will work with regular crossfired cards.. but there are 20-30 different configurations that AMD/ATI have to do just to make sure the profiles will work in every setup.. so with eyefinity on 2x5770's you would only get the performance from the 1 card all the monitors are connected to..

are there adapters for a dvi port to a dp port? also would i be able to connect 2 through dvi and 1 through hdmi?

You have to have an active dp to dvi adapter. Dell has one, but they are hugely backordered.

You cannot use the HDMI port and both DVI ports at the same time.

To connect 3 monitors, one of them MUST use the displayport. Period.

I bought the Bytecc displayport to vga adapter to run my 3rd acer 22" and apart from the occasional (once per day, if that?) flicker on the DP monitor, it's flawless.

That adapter was only 25 bucks plus shipping from newegg. There are reports that it doesn't work with all monitors though, so look around and see if you can find reviews.

I'll tell you this though, I'll never be able to MMO or racing game w/o triple screen ever again.

There are. But a number of people are reporting some minor bugs (the dp converted monitor will blink on and off occasionally).

I'm using Apple's DVI DP adapter (these are easily available) with great luck. Problem with these.... you need a mini DP to regular DP cable on top of the Apple adapter:

There are other manufacturers, such as Sapphire, which are releasing AMD certified DP DVI adapters which presumably will work more reliably than the adapters available now. I'm not sure when these will be released (probably next year to coincide with AMD's bezel management software?).

active display port adapter on amazon

would post the direct link but dont want to take the credit away from the guy that found it on amazon..

hmm im liking this one!! thats smart to add the usb connector for extra power.

so im thinking that HDMI plug to the middle monitor for those times im not using eyefinity (and when im not in a resolution of eyefinity, both cards will be used, correct? i.e. playing crisis in 1900x1200) and the dp and dvi for the right and left
