i have a full water cooling system. chipset/vga/cpu i was wondering if i took off the chipset block how much it would change the temp... it runs about 116F full load and about 112F idle.

it wont affect your cpu temp at all, because, well, its not the cpu block. but 1 question, why? i mean.. if you have a 40 dollar block in there... i'd leave it alone.... oh, and please use celsius temps.... makes things alot easier

ok sorry...i was just curious...figured i would post the question on here before i wasted money on something i didn't really need

Sure it will, his watercooling system will have less heat input and less flow restriction. That will almost surely affect CPU temperature.

depending on his rad, he MAY get 3*C difference.... in my book, thats as good as no difference

i got it for x-mas...i was thinking about getting a ASUS A7V8X-X so i could oc..and my temp full load is 47C and 45C idle
