Questions About Ebay

I read in the forum rules they don't want you to link to ebay auctions, but what I'd like to do is post the items I'm selling and when I'm contacted about someone interested, I'd like to put it up for sale as listed in Hard Forum. Would this be tolerated? I'd like a medium like ebay to handle the transaction for me, since I'm new here and don't want to fall victim to a troll. It wouldn't be an interest check, because I'd be selling it when someone contacted me, and I don't want to break the rules with the ebay thing, i just want to make sure I get the money, and the customer gets the product.

Advertising e-bay auctions are not allowed. Whether you create the auction before or after the deal is sealed is irrelevent; it's still e-bay. If you want to sell something using e-bay, do it then. But don't direct people on [H]ardforum there.

Is there any other medium I can use? I don't know how to go about selling stuff and accepting electronic payment.

I offer the option to people to go through ebay if they don't feel at ease using just heatware for my feedback, but if they want an auction so they have proof of a transaction I do it but at their cost.
