Questioning the sanity of Treyarchs server admin tool developer

Seriously, what were they (he/she?) thinking when programming this joke of a tool?

Let's make a list of things you can do and can't do with this "tool" for ranked servers:

CAN:

- determine gametype and exclude maps
- kick
- ban
- tempban
- see scores
- see names
- see IP's/GUIDs

CAN'T:

- switch players (HUH???)
- see ingame chat (HUH???)
- see kills made
- change single maps (again...HUH???)
- select player slot amount
- change friendly fire on/off
- restart server
- balance the teams

Now, bad enough as it is, you can't Alt-tab out of a running game to actually USE the admin tool. For that, you need to use the ingame rcon commands in game. Now it could be argued that the tool is to only remotely admin the server. Good idea in theory BUT since you can't see ingame chat, you don't know what's going on on your own server.

So, for the love of god, fire the developer of that atrocious tool.

I used to run my own Battlefield 2 severs in the day, and we had more features than that !!! So much for progress.


Well.... The actual game on the PC version is a total broken mess so it doesn't surprise me that the server piece is just as knacked ! Hell... The server browser in the the actual game doesn't see all the servers and has broken friends tab functions as well.

The whole game is a slap in the face.
