We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

OK, so I just bought 2x 1gb sticks, i also have 2x 512 sticks, but they are a different brand, should I just pop them in ?
Then I will have 3GB instead of 2GB
Is it worth it ?

Try it. They should default to the slowest speed of all the sticks.

Its worth a shot.

You may have to give a little more voltage to the northbridge.

Depends on your OS. If you have Vista, then absolutely. If you have XP, don't bother. Not worth possible compatibility issues.

I have 2x2gb + 2x512mb in my Vista system now (same type & brand, though). Had to bump the voltage up 0.1v on the memory to get it stable, but other than that it's fine. I often have my memory use go about 2gb, so I figure that extra 1gb is the difference between not swapping a pagefile to the hard drive. So worth it for me.
