I'm going to be building a new PC, with the help of my friend, and I was wondering which of these two harddrives you recommend. I'm asking because I am sort of tight on cash, andthe 8MB Cache, $10 dollar difference is what I don't understand, is it really worth it? Will it just reduce waiting time by a few seconds? Thanks for your help in advance!

Samsung - 250GB, 7200RPM, 8MB Cache, SATA http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822152025

Western Digital - 250GB, 7200RPM, 16MB Cache, SATA http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144701

Only $5 premium for the WD2500KS if you go to ZZF.

The WD drive is pretty quiet, and runs very cool. The Samsung drive is as close to silent as a mechanical hard drive gets. Performance wise, the WD wins, especially in gaming scenarios.

Unless you value uber low noise, pick up the WD2500KS.
