Question time, im building a new pc for heavy gaming, but im doughting weather or not i get the ati raedon 5870 over the 5850, i also wanna be able to add another card into the mix in the future for dual crossfire.
whats makin me think about getin the 5850 isnt the price, but the performance difference.
is it worth gettin the 5870 over the 5850 and by how much,
id appreciate it if people could give me some stats or some comparisons.
i dont wanna get the 5970, not for this build
heres my list of components and what iv already got:
ASUS M4A89 GDT/USB3 PRO (own)
amd phenom 955 Black Edition (own)
Artic Cooling Freezer xTreme R2 (own)
4 gb DDR3 Corsair Dominator 1600MHz (own)
ATI Raedon 5850/5870 (deciding)
Antec 1200 (pending)
750 watt psu (cnt remember brand) (own)
750gb Western Digital caviar black sata 6gb 64mb cache (pending)
2tb seagate baracuda XT sata 6 gb 64mb cache (pending)
LG BH10LS30 Blu-Ray/DVD Writer (pending)
HP DVD1270i 24x DVD+/-RW,DL,RAM & Lightscribe v2 (pending)
with this computer spec, will it be able to hit some high minimum frame rates on (for example) gta 4
and what about if i get a second graphics card ?
i know that both graphics cards are beasts in the performance side of things, but is it worth wasin money and getin something thats gunna be marginally faster ir is it gunna be worth my money if i get the more expensive card for much more performance?
if the 5870 has atleast a 15% boost/increase in performance then ill get it but id jst like a lil advise from people who have messed with these (ahem) "Techo-Logical Beast's" !
