I was looking around at LCD TVs because sometime in the spring I will hopefully be buying one. And one thing I noticed about most TVs in my size range is that they are 1366 x 768. Why? Why not 1280x720?

And does that mean if I were to plug in my 360 via component and play 720p content the TV would have to upscale it? Same thing with my DVD player, if I were to plug that in via HDMI and set it to upscale my DVDs to 720p the TV would then upscale it it further to 1366 x 768?

Odd resolution to get it higher than 1 Mpixels resolution..and somewhat able to downscale 1080i source for display
