Our company is currently in the process of a name change, so I'm tasked with keeping the old stuff running and also get the new company stuff running. Our current UCC SSL certificate which the CN is set to the old company name is set to expire soon, so I went ahead and purchased a new UCC SSL certificate.
I'm getting ready to do the CSR for the certificate and I was wondering if I use the new company name for the CN and just put the old company names in as a SAN, if I would run into any browser warnings or errors when accessing the webpage or exchange server, owa of the older company?
So, basically new SSL cert will have CN=www. newcompanyname.com
SAN
mail.oldcompany.com
autodiscover.oldcompany.com
www. oldcompany.com
Thanks!
