question regarding processor speed

I currently have a P4 3.0 with HT. I have copied an entire DVD onto the HDD using DVD Decryptor.

Question:
It takes 1hour 10minutes to use DVDFab Platinum to convert to iPod. If I get a new computer with E6750 or maybe Q6600 would I see a big increase?

Sorry for the vague question. I hope someone with experience would be able to answer this. Thanks!
