Hello everyone, thanks for taking the time and looking.

I have an aerocool masstige that has 10 5.25 bays. I am looking to relocate my HD to one of the 5.25 bays, but i am worried that the vibration from the front fans and cd drive will damage it.

Here is my setup starting from the top

FIRST 5.25 bay - fan controller
BAY 2-4 120mm fan
BAY 5-7 120mm fan
BAY 8 dvd drive
BAY 9-10 empty

So what do you guys think, additionally if i were to move the hd to bay 9 or 10 it wouldnt receive as much air flow as it would in its original location that has a fan blowing on it.
link to my case layout

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as i dont want to ruin my hd from excessive heat or vibration

Well, I had my wd raptor below a DVD-RW drive and above 2 120mm fans (for radiator) on my old cube case for over 8 months. No problem. If anything, the fans kept the drive cool. If you are concerned about vibration, use rubber gommets or rubber washers (Home Depot or Lowes) when installing the HDs.

thanx for the advice!!!! mucho appreciated, BTw what size of grommets should i use

just wanted to get some more responses regarding the vibration and heat factors before i actually do it

Well, at Lowes, they have a few, although they are like $3.50 per 2 gommets. Just take the hard drive screw with you and get one that fits that size. Same thing with rubber washers. Although rubber washers are cheaper and to me, works about the same. Like the gommets just take the HD screw and get the ones that fits.

Rubber band suspension works too...people tend to like it more, less vibration although I find it a little flimsy and I rather have my HD bolted down.
