Question regarding Flickering while using Crossfire in certain games

Just a quick question, Im running Tri-Fire Powercolor 6970's with up to date Cap profiles and Cat 11.3s, Almost all of my newer games work without a problem, One of the older titles that likes to FLICKER is Titan Quest. Running one card solves the problem and is more then overkill for this older game, My question is that is this common in some titles for this to happen when Crossfire is engaged?
