Are the plugs for cold cathodes standardized? Can any CC bulb plug into any inverter?

I don't think so. IIRC, my Logisys CCFL came with instructions advising against such an action.
 
i have 12's, 6's and 4's and i have not problem doing it i have a 4 and a 6 on the same inverter without a issue
 
Within the same manufacturer, I'd say you're fairly safe. I thought the question was about plugging one company's bulb into another conpany's inverter.
