I'm in the market for a new case and I've been looking at the Corsair 800D. My current case is the Antec 900. I've had some experience with the P183 and really liked how the doors were sturdy and felt substantial, unlike the thin, flimsy panels of the 900. Can anyone with experience with both the P183 and 800D tell me how "substantial" the 800D's side panels are? Much appreciated...

If you have a Fry's or Microcenter nearby you can see the 800D/700D in person. Otherwise, the videos on Corsair.com might help out...
The steel used for the 800D is thicker (due to the size of the case) and the paint is a more heavy-duty texture, but all in all it's a 24" x 24" sheet of steel, so it's not going to be like granite or marble.

I have the 800D and have owned a 900 and P180 in the past. The 800D side panels are very large and heavy. Significantly sturdier than the 900. They're heavier than the P180 since they're so big but not as thick. Fairly slim doors overall but the fit and finish feels very good.

I also have the 700D, with the windowless side panel, and yes, it is substantial. The entire case, in fact, is substantial. They are not flimsy in any way.
