Question on x1900CF clock speeds

Well, having returned the dodgy X1800xt. I managed to find a X1900 crossfire edition card (brand new)

I got it today but noticed the core and memory speeds are not up to X1900xt standards. They should be 625/725mhz, but mine are showing as 500/600mhz.

Is this normal or do I have a dodgy card? The X1800xt I had was similar although not such a huge gap.

I just wanted to know from people's experience who owned a X1900XT whether this was normal? (It's a Connect3D)
Do you think it's okay to raise the speeds up to the normal level or will I risk damaging the card?

They have 2D and 3D clocks - you're seeing the 2D ones, the GPU/RAM voltage and speed are clocked up in 3D mode, by default to 625/725, or higher if set on the Overdrive tab. N.B. do NOT disable the ATi hotkey poller service or it'll stay at 2D clocks all the time and you'll lose 20% performance.

Should have thought so. I diabled the poller thus rendering the switchover to 3D speeds.
It seems good so far although the ATI tray tools bench crashed and CCC had to recover.

Ran Oblivion for 5 mins and supreme commander and seems fine along with 3DMarks.
Checked on the Overdrive and requested at 621/720, close enough for me.
