Question on video capture cards...

I was looking at the Hauppage WinTV-PVR150 card (not the MCE) to record videos onto a system (not so much for the PVR stuff).

My main concerns are quality of the recording, and CPU requirements (since the box this is going in is only a 1.6GHZ Duron (Applebred) with 256MB. If I had known I had to record footage on it I would have specced it a bit higher :( I don't need to be able to record in real time while playing Doom 3 and watching another TV channel at the same time or anything, but I don't want it to drop any frames.

I'm most likely going to be writing my own custom application for recording using it, so that's one reason I liked the Hauppage cards, but if there is a better option (without being alot more money) that is just as cross-compatable, I'm willing to consider it.

Any comments?
