Question on power connector on intel board

I bought this motherboard ,Intel BOXD945PVSLKR, to build my wifes computer. (LOL I get her old stuff to upgrade mine, its kind of sad really.LOL) I also purchased a Pentium 4 650 processor with it. The question I have is about the power connectors. Do I hook up the 4 pin power and the 24 pin power? Or if I have the 24 pin power I don't need to plug in the 4 pin power?

I hope this makes sense.

Hook up both connectors. The motherboard will not function reliably without the 4-pin connector plugged in too.
