I finally got my Thermalright Ultra 120 heatsink so now I can finally explore the overclocking potential of my system without having to worry about heat that much.
I have a EVGA 680i.
I have Corsair XMS DDR2 800 memory. So I easily got to a 400FSB and in the BIOS have my settings set to Link mode and a 1:1 config. So now when I go higher, im going higher then the 400Mhz the memory is rated at. Im tying my hardest to hit a 500FSB. So what I did I set it to unlinked mode which I believe is asyncrous clocks. So now when I run CPUz it says the divider is 9:8. Is this ok?
So what im asking is, is this an ok settings or should I go another route? Im not familar with overclocking ram so this is why I did this.
O yeah I really cant afford better ram or I would just buy higher rated memory.
