Question on Logitech Z2300 speaker system + subwoofer

I am moving across the country and want to bring my speakers in my luggage, but the subwoofer is too heavy to bring with me or ship cheaply, so im wondering if i can just buy any cheap subwoofer there and just plug in the speakers im bringing, as well as the volume control thing, which kind of looks like a VGA interface.

anyone know if i can do this and what types of subwoofers share these connection input/outputs?
 
The amp for the speakers is in the sub. So you would need to buy another Z2300 system. At which point there is no reason to even pack your existing speakers at all. Give them away and buy a new set when you get there.
 
You could always fedex the subwoofer to your new address before you leave, or have a friend/family member do it for you...but it might be just as cheap to buy a new set of speakers
