Question on last generation card

I've always been an advocate of purchasing last generation cards, because they are cheap and still play the newest games. I recently bought a Radeon 9800 Pro 256mb from Newegg (pretty good price too). Can anyone recommend a fan and heatsink to replace the stock fan? Also, as far as flashing the bios and modding to an XT, is it a good idea, and does anyone know where I can find instructions on how to do that?

I have a 9800 PRO (sale pending) with a VGA Silencer Rev 3. Its a solid cooler and allows for good overclocks.

There is no benefit to flashing it to XT over just running it overclocked. Radlinker or something similar can be used to overclock. But if you want your card to say XT in windows then softmod it with a XT BIOS (google it).

For that same price you could have got a 6600GT which is faster, or even a 6800 NU which is just slightly more, just FYI.

Sometimes the new generations mid-ranges are faster than the last generations high-ends, which is the case this generation.
