how loud is the dangerden dd12v-d4? and how does it preform, any problems with leaking at all, sudden stop of working? thx

According to some reviews I've read (the ones linked from the Danger Den website) the pump is a bit louder than the others on the market and it is a different kind of noise than the other make. In one of the reviews, there is a video with audio of the pump running but the noise you hear there is of course relative to how loud you turn up your speakers so that really doesn't help much to determing an actual noise level. I don't have the pump yet so I can't comment from experience, just what I've read on it.

I'm interested in this as well, especially if somebody has been around the swiftech one and the danger den model.

it's louder than i expected it to be. kind of high-pitched.

edit: i can hear it over the fan

i saw it listed as 45dB@12V somewhere, I think it was the original manufacturers site. Does it do any good to put some kind of sound deadening material around it? I was considering this pump but wanted a quiet machine...

It comes with a big piece of foamy stuff to sticky under it. i didn't really notice that much difference in noise between me holding it in my hand and having it screwed down

what about enclosing the pump in foam? a foam igloo would be appropriate :)

may work.
may cause the pump or over heat
may not work since the noise may be in the impeller houseing...never know till ya try tho
Im really interested in useing one myself for the high head pressure and then tag it with a DD 6800 block :)
