I've been looking at a couple of Dell monitors, the U2212HM and the U2412M.
I'm curious as to how the auto image rotation works when the monitor is rotated from landscape to portrait mode.
I asked the Dell rep and he replied with "It rotates automatically". When pressed as to how the resolution is adjusted on rotation to avoid squishing/distorting the image he said the monitor takes care of that.
Is it communicating the resolution via the VGA cable? Does it auto adjust or are there software adjustments to make?
I haven't dealt with rotating monitors before.
Thanks for any assistance.
