Question for Hauppauge owners

I have a question about the video input. I was reading a review over at Bit-tech and sort of became concerned over this. He hooked up a PS to the PVR-250 and tried to play alittle but there's something like a 2 second delay. I was really thinking about getting one but I want to hook up my consoles to it. Do you guys play your consoles through it, if so what are your experiences? Has there been any improvements on this? Can the cards display raw data yet?
As a side note- Whats the file size of 30mins of TV in 720x480 at DVD quality ?

you will not be able to play consoles in real time with the 250/350 cards that have the on board MPEG2 encoders. the few seconds delay will be there as it passes through the card. So it doesnt sound like they will work for you if you want to play games through it.

I use one to record shows using non of my cpu power so I can still play games etc.. I have the output from the card going to a TVmonitor so I can watch whats being recorded.
