Does the type of card you use affect the video modes at all?!?

Id like a 2gb flash card to put into an SD200 for basic 640x480 movie creation. Im curious if there are better cards to use for video, or if it doesnt matter and I wont have any issues/lag?!

If you can chime in, I would appreciate it!

i think that it doesnt really matter..
the only factor i think is important is the speed of the card, it determines how fast data goes in /out of the card...a faster speed means less lag...correct me if im wrong. Not really into video.

Speed. But chances are your little camera wont really care what speed, as the buffer isn't fast enough to write to the card.

However, speed helps when hooking her up to a computer... USB2.0 connection goes pretty fast. For a 2GB card it may take a while for a "slow" card.

I like Sandisk Ultra II cards. Check out bhphoto.com

Considering you want to make high res movies which NEED more speed you may or may not have a issue. Try it and see. Let it run for a few minutes making a movie and see if it stops the movie abruptly as my S1 tended to do that when using a low speed card from what i read but of course i never tryed using a slower card so i never had the issue! :p
