I am in the process of ordering this case and am wondering what your thoughts are on the included fans.

Thanks.

It comes with 3 fans. each fan has a 3 speed switch. On high they are pretty loud. medium quieter and on low they are almost silent. I actually pulled them all out and installed scythe fans on the back and top and @ 5v. The scythe in the power supply area is @ 7v. It's MUCH quieter like this. I took the fans from the back and top of the case and put them on my external swift tech BIP 2 and run them at slow speed. I use them on the external radiator because it is very easy to change fan speeds. If I plan on running prime overnight i'll put the fans on medium (not in my bedroom). The one in the power supply area I have sitting on the side unused as it is quite a bit louder and thicker than the other two.
I also put a generic fan in the front @ 5 v.

So I have 6 fans total and the whole rig is VERY quiet.

I find that the fans are pretty ok. a little on the loud side when you turn them on high, I would like to get some quieter ones. Right now I have a different 120mm in front of my HDD and that is the one that makes the most noise.

Apart from the fans the case is pretty nice. Very durable, but it gets pretty tight in the space department, not a lot of room to run/hide wires and make sure that your PSU wires are long enough to reach the mobo. Also there is the warping of the panels and whatnot. When I got mine, one of the steel parts was coming out on the side panel, I just wrote Antec an email saying it was coming apart and they shipped me a new one (free of charge) that was in perfect condition in about 2 1/2 weeks.

case is kind of big, the fan at the bottom sometime doesnt start for me, i think some wiring is blocking her.

Get some wire grills, I got wire grills on both sides of it and bolted it straight to the case, not using that crappy plastic bracket.

Overall the included fans are pretty decent. I got some Yate-Loons to replace mine though, and the Yate-Loons are only marginally quieter than the Antec Tri-cool.

makes sure you do not have the fan hooked up to the fan cables provided by the psu. they only put out 5v i think? switch to a normal 4 pin molex and it starts everytime, at least that was the case for me.

also the stock antecs are too loud at medium for me. i replaced with yate loons.

i just got one, i love it, keeps everything cool with my Antec server class PSU...

only complaint is that the rear exhaust fan is too close to the mobo, because on my DFI board the sound card doohickey touches the fan so i had to put a hole in my fan to make room for it to mount my mobo

Thanks everyone for the info :D, much appreciated. I will probably order a yate-loon for the front intake. I am going to use a OCZ modstream 520 with this case so I assume cable length shouldn't be a problem.

I am going to this case from a Chieftec TA-10BD with 4 x 80mm tornados, 2 x 92mm tornados, and 2 x 120X38mm sunons*, all on fan controlers though (I was young and stupid:p). Therefore audible levels are somewhat of a concern, if my hearing hasn't already been ruined :(

*watch FSFT for massive fan sales :D.

nope, i have a 520watt modstream, and the cables reach on my DFI board, and the connectors are all the way@ the top, luckily the 4 pin i close to the 24 pin connector or i'd be SOL

also, i have my fans connected to my Antec truecontrol 2 PSU, and it's dead silent when surfing the web, and i have my CPU fan hooked up to my fan controller...

the only audible noise is the HDD when it's working, but it sounds like a low grumble if your using the lower HDD rack, i'm not too sure about the top one, cause i just completely removed that, i really had no use for it, so it's in my cabinet....

also, get rid of the VGA duct ASAP, it's crap.... It might not have been so bad if they would've sent you one of those fans like on the CM Jet4 HSF, or the extra fan on the CM 810 case that sits behind the mobo tray...

also, this case doesnt have a Mobo tray, so your going to have to put the Mobo into the case and secure it down, i realyl don't like this, but for the silence, it's worth it..

edit: also, don't be stupid like me, and try to rip open the little cages the fan filters come in, RTFM and push the little arrow on the right side of it... DOH!
