For console gaming and movie watching, is it worth replacing my 2011 LG Plasma for the 55EC9300? Will the pros be enough to outweigh the cost, or should I keep using the plasma till it dies?
 
LG sold six different plasma TV's in 2011 of varying quality, so how is someone supposed to answer accurately? And seriously, 2011 LG plasma vs OLED? I would take your question seriously if asking about one of Panasonic's last plasmas or the Samsung PNF8500.
 
I'm not sure the hostility was necessary.

My plasma is a LG 50PK550. It's a 2010, not 2011.
 
Google reviews instead of asking silly and vague questions next time. The 55EC9300 is infinitely better than any LG plasma.

Some of the best displays ever were Pioneer Kuro plasmas made in 2008, so being a 2010 or 11 model doesn't automatically mean a display is crap.

Because of the way Plasmas age it does mean the colours will be more faded.
