Question for 24in LCD gamers.

I am looking very seriously at the 24in Acer monitor. But I have a couple questions for you guys. First, will I have trouble playing games (mostly FPS) at its native resolution. My system has a 4400 Dual core and 1 7900GTX? I am using a Samsung 204B right now with no problems. But I wasn`t sure if you really need an SLI setup when you jump to this high resolution. The other question was if you reduce resolution to play a game does it really get crappy looking at lower resolutions?

With the 7900GTX you'll be able to play most current games at native res and just dial down some of the eyecandy in games like FEAR or Oblivion if your framerate suffers. If you don't like dialing down then just use the forceware drivers to do a lower custom widescreen res.
